OLEV Workplace Charging Scheme WCS

The grant funding  Work Place Grant scheme (WCS)  is expanding to provide more support for SME’s, small accommodation businesses, and charities and will continue supporting businesses to install chargepoints for their staff and fleets using the current WCS digital platform.

The funding is a Work Place Grant scheme providing a 75% contribution towards the cost of a single charge point and its installation up to a maximum of £350 for each socket, up to a maximum of 40 charge point installations across all sites for each applicant. We check that you qualify for this grant and then apply on your behalf. We bill your for the price of the installation, minus the grant amount applied for.

Applicants will apply for the scheme using the online application portal. If eligibility checks are successful, applicants will be issued with a unique identification voucher code via email. Successful applicants will receive a unique voucher code by email within 5 working days. The chargepoint installation must be completed and the voucher claimed within the 6-month period.

You may be eligible for the OLEV EVHS grant if:

  • you have not previously claimed a grant at this address under the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme.
  • all address/postcodes specified in the application are commercial addresses/postcodes and you own the property or have consent from the landlord for recharging unit(s) to be installed at each of the sites listed.
  • you have the authority to apply for the Workplace Charging Scheme grant on behalf of the organisation stated in this application.
  • the chargepoint installations will take place at sites that have dedicated staff and/or fleet parking with good access for an electric vehicle to be charged safely.
  • the chargepoints installed are maintained in a serviceable condition and are available for use for at least three years, from the point of first installation, unless given specific permission otherwise by OLEV.
  • understand that you are responsible for paying the costs associated with electricity usage for the chargepoint as well as any back office and maintenance costs associated with the chargepoint.
